TGIF!

Sometimes January and February are hard to get through without the winter blues creeping in. Luckily this weekend the weather is warming up and there are plenty of fun things to do around town to keep the blues at bay. Quit hibernating and check out these interesting events:

·         Ski or snow shoe along groomed trails by candlelight at the Metamora-Hadley Recreation area on Saturday, February 20th from 6pm to 8pm.  How romantic! Bring your own cross country skis or snow shoes and please call before you go as this event could be cancelled due to weather conditions (hopefully all the snow won’t melt!). For more information about this event go to:  http://tinyurl.com/ja7qkkf .

·         If you feel like dancing the night away you might want to go to “That 90’s Party” at the Flint Golf Club on Saturday, February 20th from 8pm to 11pm. There will be a DJ and a 90’s cover band, karaoke, costume contest and more! (I prefer an 80s party myself ;)) For tickets and information go to: http://tinyurl.com/zlktqpa .

·         Get in the mood for St. Patrick’s Day a little early and go see “Celtic Nights” at The Whiting in Flint on Sunday, February 21st at 7:30pm. The production tells the story of Irish independence and features beautiful imagery, singing, dancing and musicians. For ticket information go to:  http://tinyurl.com/je8f8lw .

·         Take a wine class at Cork on Saginaw on Tuesday, February 23rd at 7pm. Learn about wines from the Columbia Valley region of Washington and Oregon. The cost is $25 per person and reservations are required. For tickets and more information about this event go to: http://tinyurl.com/jmb3a2z .

This weekend is also a great weekend to go house hunting! If you’re in the market to buy or sell a home give ChangingStreets.com a call. We’d be happy to sell your current home and/or find your next dream home!
