Summer is here and that means all sorts of fun activities are being planned around the area. If you’re looking for something to do this weekend check out these fun hometown events and mingle with the people in your community:
The Flint Art Fair – This is the art fair’s 47th year and it takes place this weekend on the front lawn of the Flint Institute of Arts. On Saturday, June 21st the hours are 10am-6pm and Sunday, June 22nd hours are 11am-5pm. Admission is $5 and there is free parking behind the Flint Institute of Arts and also at the other cultural center buildings. Art, food, and music…..what more could you want? Linden Mills Days – Fun activities and events are scheduled in and around Linden June 20th – June 22nd. A carnival, car show, Highland Games, fireworks and everything in between are on the schedule – a little something for everyone. For all the details go to: http://lindenmillsdays.com .
Creekfest – This family event is also this weekend, June 21st-22nd in Ortonville. Saturday events start bright and early with the 7th Annual Creekfest Run and the day ends with a beautiful fireworks display. There is also a carnival (which actually runs June 19th-22nd) for the kids and all kinds of educational displays and vendors to check out over the course of the weekend. Fireworks – The Linden Mills Days fireworks display will be held Friday, June 20th at dusk at Linden Elementary school, 400 S. Bridge Street. Grand Blanc will also have a nice display on Friday, June 20th at dusk during their Grand Blanc Family Fun Days event in downtown Grand Blanc (June 19th-June 22nd, http://grandblancchamber.com/family-fun-fest-information ). The Ortonville fireworks will be on Saturday, June 21st at dusk at Brandon Middle School, 609 S. Ortonville Rd.
