Happy Haunting

This week I started off writing about the scary things our government was putting us all through but it was getting way too depressing. So instead of focusing on the blood curdling events occurring in DC I thought it would be more fun to focus on some fun and spooky events that our happening in our own backyard. It is October after all!

The Holly Hotel offers some really fun events for anyone looking for a delicious and spine chilling evening. The hotel is known to be one of the most haunted historical locations in Michigan and on October 21^st and October 31^st at 8:00pm you can participate in a professional ghost hunting adventure. The GHS paranormal team of Farmington Hills will be conducting the investigation. This event is restricted to people age 18 and over and you must make reservations so as space is limited. Call the hotel at 810-634-5208 a.s.a.p. if you’re interested.

The Holly Hotel is also hosting séances every evening at 8:00pm beginning Thursday, October 24^th and ending on October 30^th. A “medium” will lead the séance and try to make contact with the hotel’s resident spirits. Each séance will be different so just bring an open mind and an attitude of fun. You never know what the evening will have in store. Once again, if you’re interested call the Holly Hotel for reservations.

I found two ghost tours in the Detroit area that sound very fun but unfortunately they were both sold out. One was a three hour tour (by bus) of some of Detroit’s most famously haunted places provided by Haunted Detroit Tours and the other was a night of ghost hunting at Historic Fort Wayne. If this sounds like something you’d want to, keep it in mind for next year. Just remember to book your tickets early.

There are so many fun and spooky events happening this month throughout Michigan. From getting the tar scared out of you by one of the many staged haunted attractions or just going on a haunted hay ride, there is something for everyone’s comfort level. You just have to decide how daring you want to be!
