Curb Appeal!

As they say, you only have one chance to make a good first impression. The first thing a potential buyer sees is the outside of your home and your yard. Here are 10 quick and easy things you can do right now to enhance your curb appeal and get your home ready to sell:

1.       Clear your yard of any debris, toys, tools, fallen tree branches, etc.

2.       Mow and edge the grass. Rake up leaves and sweep driveway and sidewalk of grass clippings.

3.       Fill in any dead spots in your grass with grass seeds.

4.       Trim any landscaping that needs attention such as bushes or trees and clear flower beds of weeds and old growth.

5.       Plant some colorful flowers.

6.       Hide any garbage cans in a shed, garage or behind the house. Keep garden hose neatly rolled up.

7.       If the siding on your home is dirty or moldy, power wash it. While you’re at it, power wash porches and decks too.

8.       Repair any loose siding or gutters.

9.       Wash the windows and if any are damaged, replace them.

10.   If need be, a fresh coat of paint always does wonders.

This might sound like a lot but it actually is just part of the normal maintenance for any home whether or not you’re trying to sell it. If you take care of these items on the list on a regular basis you probably already have the beginnings of great curb appeal!
