Choosing the Right Agent

Are you getting ready to sell your house or are you in the market to buy one? One of the first things that you should do is hire the right real estate agent. We are proud of our agents at ChangingStreets.com and know that all of them professionally and successfully represent their clients. Here are some things to keep in mind as you are committing to an agent:

·         Make sure you read the listing or buyer’s contract before signing it. It’s a common practice for brokerages to add an extra “administrative fee” or “document prep fee” at closing which can range anywhere from $150 - $1500! ChangingStreets.com does not charge these fees so you will never be surprised with extra money to pay at closing.

·         Beware of agents that say your home is worth more than it actually is just so they get your listing. Your home may sit on the market with no showings and then you’ll have to reduce your price anyway. ChangingStreets.com agents will do a comparative market analysis and price your home competitively from the very beginning so you don’t lose valuable market time.

·         When you’re hiring an agent make sure that before you sign the contract you ask who will be handling your marketing, taking you on showings, or answering your calls, questions and concerns. You don’t want to sign thinking you’re hiring one person but then find out that you can never reach them, or an assistant is handling everything. Our agents at ChangingStreets.com are responsive and are excellent at meeting their clients’ needs -  many times going above and beyond the call of duty!

So don’t take any chances! Before you sign on that dotted line remember that the agents at ChangingStreets.com are always the right choice!
